Client Situation:

An energy retailer affiliate of a major US investor-owned utility wanted to offer Distributed Energy Resource solutions to its commercial customers.  The client had thousands of customer load profiles to examine and to determine their DER economic potential.  The client wanted to prioritize its customer portfolio and test the relative economics of a variety of DER offerings.

Our Solution:

Enovation Analytics worked with the retailer to assess the economics of several solar, storage, reciprocating engine and combination solution offerings across its portfolio of commercial customers.  We combined their load shapes with our DER Database and utilized our DER Economics Tool  to identify the most promising solution offerings and prioritize its customer portfolio.  We projected these results over time - allowing for planned changes in incentives, policies, and expected declines in technology cost.
